Overview

Fes is located in the Fes-Meknès region, in northeastern Morocco. The city is nestled in a valley at the base of the Middle Atlas Mountains, surrounded by semi-arid landscapes and verdant hills. It is traversed by the Oued Fès River, which contributes to the fertility of the surrounding lands.
